EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

JOY CLUB – JUST OPEN YOURSELF

JOY is an initiative by Blossom Public School to encourage our primary students to hone their skills through participation in various extra –curricular activities. JOY will be for students from Class I to Class V. These activities will be apart from the normal school curriculum.  Students will be given ample opportunities to participate in these activities and exhibit their talents.

LEAD CLUB – LOVE FOR ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

LEAD is an eco friendly initiative club formulated to instill the idea of keeping the planet healthy and safe. This nature awareness club helps restore the fertile land, water, air, livestock, importance of preserving and protecting environment degradation like green house gases, global warming, ozone depletion overuse of natural resources, pollutions ,etc.

Key activities conducted by LEAD CLUB are:

SMILE CLUB – SERVICE MAKES INDIVIDUAL LIVES EXCITING

SMILE CLUB is an unique club formulated to create awareness amongst the primary level children about sharing & caring and set an example to the society. Aims and objectives of the club is to help people in dire need of time, money or love.

BLISS CLUB – BLOSSOM LITERARY & INTELLECTUAL SOCIETY FOR STUDENTS

BLISS is an initiative by Blossom Public School to encourage our primary students to hone their skills through participation in various extra – curricular activities. BLISS will be for students from Class VI to XI. These activities will be apart from the normal school curriculum.

CAN encourages kids to spend more time in exploring, learning and enriching themselves and develop feelings of wonder and care for the planet we live in and understanding the responsibility to protect and preserve the nature.

CARE CLUB – CULTURAL ARTS RETROSPECTION & ENRICHMENT

Blossom CARE CLUB is an inspiring & spearheading initiative to help children understand the value about the cultural heritage, preserve, protect and apply in their own life the tangible, intangible and natural culture and heritage of our nation.

Some of the activities nurtured by CARE CLUB are:

HELP CLUB – HOME ECONOMICS & SKILLS LIFE PROGRAM

HELP CLUB is Blossom's ingenious initiative taken ever to instill the aspects of home economics, basic necessities and things to develop skills in family financing, nutrition cooking, culinary arts and innumerable skills that are required for their life.

HELP CLUB helps transitioning young minds into responsible savvy adulthood.

HUMAN CLUB - INTEGRITY CLUB

HUMAN CLUB @ Blossom is a benignant initiative to infuse & ingrain the "Human values". This sensitises our children on the importance of up holding high moral and ethical values, and inculcates the purpose of eradicating unethical practices in the young minds at the right age.

Some of the Humane Activities by HUMAN CLUB are:

FIT CLUB - HEALTH & WELLNESS CLUB

Blossom FIT CLUB took its initiative in 2014.(It is a civic initiative). It aims at sensitizing the value of food, adopting a healthy regime, catering physical and mental fitness, creating a clean environment etc.

LIFE SKILLS PROGRAMME

“Life Skills” is a Blossom initiative to create confidence in children.  Starting from Std.VI, this course will be spread over five years laying a strong foundation for our children so that their confidence levels will be enhanced by the time they enter grade XII level of their schooling.  The curriculum for this course has been carefully thought out and precisely designed to provide our children exactly what is required to enable them lead a life filled with contentment and character. 

The topics covered include moral values & ethics, attitude, communication skills, self-esteem, leadership, anger management, motivation, facing failure, team-work, public speaking, stress management, confidence building, goal setting, career guidance, physical fitness, real happiness, assertiveness, time management, price of freedom, problem solving & will to win.

LEAP - LEADERSHIP ENHANCEMENT TO ACCELERATE PROGRESS

LEAP is an initiative from Blossom Public School to enhance the abilities of a grade x students. LEAP is a full day leadership program conducted at our school premises. Our children those are in final few years of schooling and who are in need to make decisions regarding the carrier paths farther better translation to the external world and their higher studies. This initiative helps them deal with various people from all walks of life, grooms themselves, enhances their leadership abilities and helps expose themselves to the important life skills and soft skills which are required to lead a happy and content life.

SPLASH - STUDENTS PROWESS IN LITTERARY SKILLS ARTS SCIENCE & HERITAGE

Blossom always believes that all round development of a child is very important. We provide students an opportunity to phone and stage their talents.

The inter class cultural festival at Blossom is a very popular event among our students. The inter class cultural fest has moved to the next level and has become an inter school cultural event.

SPLASH is a cultural hub for all energetic and enthusiastic students.

SPLASH provides a platform for students from schools in and around Thanjavur, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Pattukottai and Pudukkottai to showcase their skills, talent and creativity. This is a day's event every year. Blossom invites the students community to collaborate, corporate and compete in a stress free fun filled environment.

SPLASH provides all students a wonderful opportunity to learn, unleash the talent and skill, friendship and team spirit, share, care and most importantly have fun.

NCC - NATIONAL CADET CROPS

NCC @ Blossom is an initiative taken to empower the youth, instill confidence, impart practical knowledge and make them self-sufficient on an voluntary basis. NCC at Blossom engages the cadets into constructive activities & harnesses their energy towards something useful for themselves and as well as for our society.

THE BHARAT SCOUTS AND GUIDES

SCOUTS AND GUIDES @ Blossom

Is yet another initiative for volunteers to motivate, guide and help them achieve their goals and develop the young and energetic youth in their all round development, ie, physically, mentally, socially, intellectually and spiritually and make them strong.

The purpose of Blossom introducing scouts and guides is to build a sense of confidence, self esteem, teamwork, enjoy adventures, inculcate communication skills, life skills, leadership qualities, improve their lifestyles and empower themselves to face the future world with confidence.

JRC - JUNIOR RED CROSS

JRC - Junior Red Cross @ Blossom, is a youth organisation which provides opportunities for children to learn about the Red Cross and its mission of helping people in need. Through JRC, children learn first aid, disaster preparedness, and other skills that help them make a difference in their communities.

CAREER GUIDANCE

Blossom always focuses on the welfare of the students and helps to fulfill their aspirations. Personalized attention and guidance is enabled through the professional career guidance program & counselling sessions with top career guidance experts. Students exposed to such programs at the early phase are highly benefitted. They manage their future success by setting up their realistic goals & making adequate career choices and job satisfaction.

ORIENTATION FOR STUDENTS

Blossom engages students with orientation programs to help them gain confidence and flood them with lots of information and resources they require to be successful. Orientation programme serves as an excellent resource to set students up for success and make the transition a smooth one.

School cinema is fusion of entertainment and education for children, serves as a teaching tool for educators in improving their teaching methodology.
